Podcasts have always been one of the best ways of staying connected with your favorite topics of interest, without asking much from you. At the tap of a button, with the headsets on, or with the podcast playing in the background as you carry on with other tasks, you can absorb an abundance of information, culture, or entertainment — depending on what you are listening to.
For those who live and breathe fashion, podcasts are an even greater means of staying connected with the sartorial world while we all practice social distancing and self-isolation to slow the spread of Covid-19. One such podcast which has been connecting people in the evergrowing sphere of fashion since May 2018 is Gucci‘s. Packaging creative director Alessandro Michele‘s diverse collaborations in 28 episodes ranging from 10-40 minutes, the Gucci Podcast features rich storytelling and candid conversations.

The latest episode features three-Michelin-star chef Massimo Bottura in conversation with his old school- friend Gucci President and CEO Marco Bizzarri, about childhood memories and the two Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura restaurants in Florence and in Los Angeles, which were born as a result of their friendship.
Previous episodes include Alessandro Michele in a conversation on fashion, collecting and music with Sir Elton John; fashion designer Dapper Dan musing on creating one-off outfits for hip-hop stars in the ‘80s and ‘90s, the reopening of his atelier in Harlem and his collaboration with Gucci. Writer and fashion blogger Susie Lau also makes an appearance, interviewing the four stars of the Gucci Beauty Network campaign about breaking the rules of beauty norms: models Achok Majak, Mae Lapres and Ellia Sophia, who she meets in Rome, and punk singer Dani Miller (along with musician Jeffertitti), who she speaks to on the eve of Gucci’s Spring Summer 2020 fashion show in Milan.
The Gucci Podcast is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Soundcloud.
